Hi Lee, Glad you are still getting them at Verona. I’m not sure what this run is going to do on the American over the next couple of weeks but I’m going to keep fishing for them until they are gone.

Floated with Earle today and although it was a lot of work we got almost 30 to the boat. There was a jet boat, another drift boat and 6 wading fly anglers. We didn’t see them land any! Hits flies: Ronald McDonald and G3.
From a drift boat I use 30 ft of T-8 or T-11. Wading I use 15 ft Type 6 or 8 with a IShort head.
How long does the run typically last? first year really fishing it and had a blast.
Typical runs go into the first or second week of July but this year I think they will be gone before June is over.
Solo float today. There were four other drift boats at the start but they were all gone before lunch. It was red hot when I started fishing getting a dozen in about an hour but then it went dead. Rowed back up and repositioned and got to 20 by lunch. Got a few more after lunch and then it shutdown again. Headed down river and found a little bucket. Ended up with just about 30 for the day. Used only one fly and one line: Ronald McDonald and 30 ft of T-11. Lots of small males which indicates we near the end of the run.
Past employee Brett Humphies went out with Captain Andy Guibord today.
Brett said they got some Stripers.

Solo float again today. It was very slow but I got into double digits. Not many boats or anglers and I didn’t see any catching. G3 and 3O ft of T-11.
