On a trip to Belize Gary Eblen caught a different looking snapper?
Guides in Central America and Mexico call them "Sheepers".......
Some years ago north of Cancun in shallow Isla Blanca we would see Sheepshead, usually a pair.
When they saw us on the shallow, light colored flats they would scream off.
Our Latin guides would tell us the "Sheepers" are hard to catch on a fly.
There are lots of them here in Florida and most are caught on bait around pilings where they eat barnacles.
