Personally, you may not want to wait until the last minute to decide to cancel. Some of my friends decided to wait and see, and they all lost all of their money because the lodges cancellation policy was under 30 days notice, there is no refund or rescheduling, period. 60 days advance notice had different policies, and some were able to reschedule to a later date with no penalty. If they had decided earlier, they may not have lost everything. I'd recommending checking with the businesses you have given money to see what their cancellation policies are and then making an informed decision. Some businesses are being kind and considerate, and some are not. Of note, today the US closed the border with Mexico to all non-essential travel.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”
