Sage first gen Bass Rods were the LMB, SMB and Bluegill in a rod & reel case with a flyline...no reel.

Between my wife Marilyn and I we have all of them.....some in CA and most in FL.

They were designed by Jerry Siem of Sage, guide Kevin Doran, John Sherman, Keith Kaneko and friends.

They are meant for casting top water, bulky bass bugs short to medium distances with accuracy.

The Second Gen II Bass rods were more powerful and they added on a heavier model for Peacock bass .

Many use them inside the Mangroves for Baby Tarpon and Snook.

Top seller was the LMB, next was the SMB, so a Bluegill is a little rare.

    Thanks Bill,
They are great...I think... if they are anything like the largemouth and smallmouth versions. I have one of each, was hoping to locate a lighter line weight.
