    My thoughts too. $550 is a lot of dough to drop on some wading boots, I think I’d rather spend that kind of money on a rod (or two). I would expect they perform well for those who don’t mind the price though?

    I am sure they are very good.....Danner makes them for Patagonia......only $549

    I have a friend who is a very serious veteran Steelheader who is getting a pair so he will report some day.

    I am sure they are the best but too much $$$$ for most.

    As a 50 year sporing goods retailer I could see $299?

    I've got a pair and they have been great. Expensive, Yes, but well made, felt free and very grippy. At 65, they will probably be the last pair I have to buy. They can be sent in to Danner and completely rebuilt if needed. My last pair of Danner's lasted for years until they just fell apart.

    I think we would be surprised how many they will sell......many guides will have them.
