    I got your reply but I'm confused about what it means? Are you interested the 508 listed above or is this just a comment? The price was lowered $100.00 one minute before your post. It's a great deal! Please advise.

    The Sage 500 series reels where made by Hardy Brothers in England.

    They were machined from bar stock aluminum and anodized a bronze color.

    The fittings were all nickel silver, (the handle stem, and rivets).

    Back then they had two sizes of nickel silver counter balances that we sold and installed.

    For trout and steelhead they were the big deal during their production with an adjustable click-n-pawl drag and rim drag.




    **For fish like salmon, stripers, and salt water speices most prefer a disc drag.
