    Default Selling your used tackle?

If you have something that is worth a lot ($1,000) I would sell it on eBay.

Below that our free classifieds work well for many.

Other than collectibles, if you get 50% of new pricing for anything that is a good thing.

Pictures do help sell things. They just can not be too big.

I would list rods and reels all desperately because it is free.

Try to put the new price on things that are not too old.

there are a lot of different web sites that have a classified section. I think it helps to venture out in different markets. All the stuff I had for sale (bamboo rod, Orvis 2 wt, hardy reel, Fenwick Feralite rods) I sold in 2 days on a site that I just found.
I have a few more items to post, I'll post here first to give the board people a chance then post to other sites
Keep up the good work, Bill

I have to say that I’m far, far more inclined to purchase higher end stuff that I see listed here than on EBay. For one thing, I vastly prefer keeping it “in the family” as opposed to sending money off to someone else from the other corner of the country. I’ve been quite pleased so far with my buying and selling to fellow members here, no drama at all so far...

Agree, bought couple items here and feels "safer" and part of a community.

Agreed on all points. And one of the nicer Walt Powell companion rods I’ve ever sold for a good price (over $1000) was right here to long time and well respected member. Great transaction. I’d say you just never know so advertise everywhere you are able.
There are few things in life more pleasing than the sublime marriage of form and function that is found in a well crafted fly rod.
