Default Orvis "Flea" rod for sale.

I just posted this on FB market place and two other sites.

Selling my Orvis 6 1/2' 2 wt 2 piece fly rod and Hardy Featherweight fly reel.

The rod is in great shape and comes with the original cloth rod bag and tube. I believe back in the days, this rod was called "the Flea"

It also comes with a Hardy Featherweight reel. The reel does show some wear, but still in great working condition.

I'm starting to thin out my collection of 50 years of fly fishing.

I also have a lot of Fenwick Feralite fiberglass rods and a Heddon #10 2F 9' 6wt split cane rod that will be going up on the sale block within a few weeks.

Buyer will also pay the shipping.

    For more information, contact: jaysflies@me.com

    Both for $325.00

After doing more research and checking into my bamboo rods, the flea rod is a bamboo. I have one in the closet. So now I'm trying to figure out what this Orvis graphite 6 1/2' rod model name is. I also have the Perfomer rod, that was one of my favorite rods, next to the Scott Heli Ply
Gotta figure out what I'm going to do with all these rods. My wife told me when I die, she's just going to give then away but my two sons and grandkids will get first pick

Funny how we all start doing the same sort of things. Cleaning our closets and getting ready for the inevitable. All we seem to talk about any more are the aches and pains and going to the doctor.

I need some more coffee and gotta get out of this funk.

Us Baby Boomers are hoarders because our parents and grand parents went through the Great Depression and World War II.

I bet we all have tons of stuff we will never need and never use........

You hit the nail on the head... I still have a number of Hoffman Premium super saddles. The saddles are at least 16" in length. You can tie up 9 to 12 flies with one hackle. I sold 4 when the "hair fad" was going on. One lady back East was crazy enough to buy a super saddle for $750.00 used. I hope that craze returns.
