This is an excellent instructional video by Zack Dalton of Rio Products on making welded loops in "T" material.

    Bill,

Don't some shops have a machine that can weld those loops?

    Default Welding Loops

Larry,.... If I recall correctly, Kiene's Fly Shop had one of those machines. Don't know about Fly Fishing Specialties....

Just a word of caution. Most typical non adjustable heat gun is to hot. It can be done after much practice, but I wasted quite a bit of t material.

While I'm a big believer in supporting one's local fly shop,
Poppy's Red Shed Fly Shop (Idaho) has a line welding kit
for $60. Includes 2 setting heat gun, concentrator nozzle, 5' of shrink tube in 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", and 5' Ridge .040 line.
    No, I don't have one!
Maybe the Kiene shop has the same item.
