    I have tried both the Ambush and the RIO Scandi Body on my 5wt Switch rod.

    I like both, but I have discovered at spots with no room to back cast and only room to stand a foot from shore before a big drop off, the Ambush's ability to shoot line on a roll cast so easily is very handy.

    Have you compared the Ambusy original vs the Ambush short? If so, what are your thoughts.

    No, but being shorter might be good for throwing bass bugs?
