I have a few vintage #6s up for grabs. All come with their spooled line (which isn't the same vintage ). I'd consider trades for larger reels. I'm a big fan of older click pawl reels which these all are, except maybe the JRyall which is a combination of click and pawl.. and some custom drag system.

Battenkill IV Made in England by Hardy. Single pawl design (quite rare from my understanding) - 2 spare spools & cases - $150
She's see a little use for sure but still in great working order (I don't think you can kill these reels).

The old Orvis CFO reels were a top pick on light rods.



I bought a new Sage 490 LL, 2 piece rod and put a new Orvis CFO III reel on it with a Cortland 444 Peach WF4F.

I put a nickel silver counter balance on the spool, an option from the Sage 500 series.

I took it on a trip to Idaho/Montana in 1987 with Don Rotsma and Rick Jorgensen.

Caught some nice wild trout on it........
