Thread: East Fork Carson

    Default East Fork Carson

Fished it this weekend. Thursday tried the stretch above Hangman's Bridge for a couple hours. Got two planters. Saturday fished from the Airport to the Gauging Station 'catering and dry. One fish took my hopper, that was it. Apparently I didn't have what they wanted. Other fisherman also reported that it was slow.
Went to Wolf Creek on Sunday - couldn't find the fish there, so went to upper Carson above where Silver Creek comes in. Finally had some success high sticking with a BH fly with some orange in it. Nice fish 10 to 15 inches.

Curious What kind of fish did you catch above Silver Creek?

Rainbow Trout. Most seemed to be wild.

Peacock bodied flies seem to work down that way.

Many years ago someone who lived down that way said he loved the Zug Bug nymph?
