Micro-plastics in SF Bay
Took this from NBCBayArea video:
"Every year seven trillion pieces of microplastics flow through San Francisco Bay, according to a new study by the San Francisco Estuary Institute and UC Davis. Researchers said that these tiny particles come from things like baby wipes flushed down toilets and that the Bay is more polluted than most other bodies of water because its narrow opening traps particles."
Just try to imagine how much 7 trillion pieces of micro-plastics is ingested by small organisms and then passed up the food chain. BABY WIPES??!!!
"America is a country which produces citizens who will cross the ocean to fight for democracy but won't cross the street to vote."
