Did you get a good report? Things seem late this year.

I had good reports but don't want to give more details because my Klamath friends would not like it.

Just go in October........try to spend a week.

You don't need indicators on the Klamath.....

I don't like the Klamath upstream from Interstate 5.

**Fly fishing guide and veteran Klamath fly fisher Mike Folden told me that he does not guide above the mouth of the Scott river.

There are many anglers who stay up on the Klamath river for a month or more every year.

RVing is very popular and affordable.

Over my lifetime I have met these folks and am quite jealous.

My friends Bruce Porter and Nor Fierros fished the river more than most for over the past 30 years.

Both use small single hand fly rods with a floating line and size 8 light flies.

Been on the river daily. There are a decent number of very fresh fish coming in. Have had a couple good shots of rain. I have limited days left and fishing is only getting better! Swinging has been as productive as float fishing surprisingly. Water temps are perfect and the weather is still very pleasant!

I am glad you are able to stay up there and guide during this wonderful time of year.

We went early to Florida this Fall so I won't be up there.

Planning to go next Fall with my little motor home for at least a week to the middle river in October.

Fished the river Tuesday PM, Wednesday all day, and Thursday AM. Not red hot by any stretch. Best session was Wednesday morning on a couple of runs that take some bushwhacking to get to. Two nice adults and a handful of smaller fish. Spoke to another angler who had lit em up a week earlier but was having similar struggles on this trip. I'm a firm believer that regardless of the species, the bite will always slow down after a front or during unstable weather patterns. Give me a nice warming trend or stable weather anytime of year. All excuses aside, I will most likely be going back soon. The fish are there but you need to hit the right window.
