Old friends from California meet up in Montana.

Bob Nakagawa closed his shop, Sierra Angler, in Modesto, and moved to Idaho Falls.

He works at Jim Slattery's Madison River Fly Shop at Campfire Lodge in West Yellowstone, Montana in the summers.

Kenny Calhoun of Woodland, California has a long history in that area with his family cabin.


Bob sent me this picture of him and Kenny at the shop last week.



They are two of the finest guys I know and both great fly fishers.


We ran into Kenny in Costco in Woodland recently where he told us of his retirement and is moving to Montana.

Good for Bob! There's nothing like waking up and deciding which world class river to fish in that day! It's truly the fly fishing mecca here.
