This is a great chance to see what the structure of the bottom of the river really looks like at 1,000 cfs.

Maybe 30 to 40 years ago they lowered it to 500 cfs one Fall and I was out above Watt Avenue.

We had huge caddis hatch / egg laying that evening and the Half-pounders went wild on them.

Up in the clay banks above Watt bridge it looked like a trout stream........like the Truckee river.

I could wade back and forth across the river too.

If I'm reading this right, the AR will be down at 1200 CFS on Monday, September 9, by 0600 hours? And then, through the day, flows will remain at 1000 CFS until some Watt Ave construction is scheduled to be completed at 1700 hours?

The do something like this every year when they put in the bars at the hatchery to funnel the fish into the fish ladder.

Gonna be a lotta sun-baked caddis larvae. Luckily they're pretty hardy.
