    Default Lower Klamath River report......

Terry Thomas and group go every year maybe 3 time to the Klamath River.

    Terry is there right now......

4 of them go with a jet boat guide in the Lower Klamath for 4 days.

He said it is really slow right now for Half-pounders, adults SH and even King salmon.

    Hopefully the runs are late.

I would not go to the lower river until Sept 15.....

still early and I hear there are fish around in the other rivers, too soon to get worked up yet. I am debating about whether to go to up Orleans way in mid September or just spend all my time on the Trinity.

    Yes, it is early.......

Veteran Klamath River fly fishing guide Bruce Slightom said he likes Sept 15 to start booking in clients for the lower river for consistency.

Water temps at Blake's is low to mid 70's, got up to 75 the other day. Temps at Hoopa are the same. This is creating a thermal block in my opinion. Releases on the Trinity for the Boat Dance start on the first, should get thing started.
Fishing is always good, the catching may not be.
