Many are thinking of getting out of the Valley in August......
August is a huge vacation month for Californians mostly going up in the mountain or over to the coast to get cool.
Many years of family traditions with annual summer vacations.
We use to always go to Santa Cruz because my aunt,uncle and cousins lived there.
Santa Cruz in the 1950s was so wonderful....a little crowded now.
Fishing was really good there back in those days too.
We fished off the piers and cement boat to catch a variety of salt water fish.
Today, retired folks will be getting out in Sept/Oct after the kids go back to school.
Crowds will be way down on the highways as well as camp grounds, rentals, restaurants, etc.
