Yes, Confluence Spey Camp. Haven't been to this before, but I'm looking forward to the experience!

    Earl,

It was definitely worth the time and money. If Leslie is cooking the meals are worth the trip. I went three years ago and then it was held in August. I think the September time frame is better as we seemed to be about a week early. If you are into spey casting or want to get into it this is an excellent camp to attend. The instructor then were Dax Messett and Gino Bernero both of whom are very knowledgeable and very good instructors. The camp is set back from the river about a 100 yards on a shelf so you look down on the river. One morning while at coffee we had a mountain lion swim the river and run past the camp at about 50 yards, that night we had a bear in camp, no big foot. If you have specific questions you can PM me. I almost went back again this year but I am doing the Confluence South Oregon trip again.

    Default September Klamath fever

True its all about the morning and evenings as the bite seriously tapers after the sun hits the water. Worth the trip anyhow as 6 hours a day is enough for me, leaves time to swim in a creek, explore the wild country or take a nap. Should be a good year based on last years 1/2 lbrs should be more adults.

I never wet wade because of the cyanobacteria from blue green algae. Blue green algae has nothing to do with more water but rather the toxic pools behind irongate and copco. Rash is the mild version more serious health effects are also possible so it is not worth the wet wade; go to the Trinity for that.

    See you in Orleans.

    Undam the KLAMATH!
