    Default Columbia River/Bonneville Dam

7,158,000+ Shad over Bonneville Dam so far in 2019!

Many do not even make it that far upriver and detour into the Willamette and smaller tributaries.

    Crazy!

    Wow.....

I wonder if they fish for Shad in the Willamette river?

My friend Al Perryman went to the Lower Umpqua river a few weeks ago and caught some Shad from his anchored jet boat.

He said there are very few places to wade fish though.

There use to be lots of big Stripers in the Lower Umpqua River.

I caught some Shad in the Saint Johns river in Florida in February once.

Much recreational shad fishing done in the Willamette................. A lot of opportunities to fish up that way.
