Thread: Shad Fishing

    Default Shad Fishing

Just got home from a few weeks in Baja and I'm thinking about doing a little shad fishing. Be a change from pulling on those 40lb Roosters.

So are the flows at a respectable level for wading? Or who would be available for week day floating, maybe a Tuesday, Wednesday.

Since I work at the Sportsman Warehouse here in Fresno I usually get the middle of the week off.

I'm heading out this morning for a little carp fishing at Millerton Lake, close to my house. I hope to catch one or two for some Gyutaku printing.

I'd appreciate any info so I could plan a short trip to Sac. How about wet wading? I know that water will be cold since its snow melt runoff.

    Thanks
    Jay

Jay, with the flows going down, wet wading is easy right now. Plenty of action going on right now, lots of fish still in the system. I'd take you out but can only go after work which isn't til 4.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I always think the best Shad fishing is after work during the week......right up till dark.
