Headed that way this weekend with the new trailer. I guess I'll be fishing Baum Lake a lot.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy new fly fishing gear and that usually does the trick.

Sounds great.....maybe try Hat Creek too.

We use to love the little McCumber Reservoir on Hwy 44 below Manzanita Lake.

I am headed up that way 6/13-18, once the school year is over. Hopefully that timing holds true! Will be my first time on the McCloud and Pit, really looking forward to my maiden voyages there. Surely will drop in on the Upper Sac as well.

I was up in Burney this weekend for 4 days and it was going off! There was a huge salmon fly hatch on Burney Creek and that was going Friday when I arrived and still going Monday afternoon! At Hat Creek riffle I have never seen the mayfly hatch as thick and the fish were hungry...the creek is in great shape too and not too crowded Sunday morning, just 3 rods in there. Baum lake was packed wwith worm drowning yahoos screaming and yelling everytime they caught an 8 inch planter. Great fishing up there right now!!!

June should be good on Hat Creek and Fall River plus all the lakes in that area.

You can have fun without screaming “F**K YEAH BITCHES” every time you catch an 8 inch fish.

We have a very diverse cross section of humanity in California now.

Montana, and Idaho are looking pretty good now.

Sell out while property values are high?
