Default Good fly shop near Seattle, WA - Creekside Angling Company,

    http://www.fishcreekside.com/

A good friend and Alaskan guide lives near this shop and highly recommends it.

I will probably call them and stop by this summer to get help wading the saltwater of the Puget Sound for Searun Cutts.

Lots of good YouTube videos of this exciting fishing.

Just had a great phone conversion with Peter, the owner, about Sea-run Cutthroat trout fishing on the Puget Sound.

He said it was year round fishing but fall, winter, and spring was best because of the Cutthroats don't like bright sun.

He said to fish from West Seattle to Tacoma, Washington.

He said the fish are bigger to the north but you need a boat.

They recommend #5 and 6 weight fly rods with intermediate lines and small bait fish imitations.

He said to walk the beaches and look for the Cutts to be busting bait fish on top.

He said it was best to have an incoming tide in the morning.

Sea-run Cutts can be found from Northern California to Alaska.

Another fly shop in Seattle is the Emerald Water Angler. I've been talking with them about booking a trip to Anaa. Part of the Tuamotu Archipeligo about 350 miles north east of Tahiti. They have bones but the real thrill here are the GT's and Bluefin. Lots of other stuff here too if you're getting tired of Christmas Is. and want something off the beaten path.

I talked with Dave at Emerald Waters and he referred me to Fly Odyssey in the UK. Talked with Matt McHugh who runs the operation there and is most familiar with Anaa. Fantastic looking place and affordable.

If you're interested in something new in the South Pacific, give me a call or write and I'll send you a link with a video. I'd love to put a small group of our guys together for an exploratory trip.

Okay Bill, I've watched this video twice trying to figure out where exactly they are. Beautiful, beautiful, and I'm ready to go.

Now if I could just loose forty years and find a blond girlfriend that likes to fish, it would be nirvana.

Naw, I've got a great wife who used to fish with me a lot. I guess getting old changes priorities. But there's still so much I want to see and do. And getting feeble is not in my schedule of things I want to do.

Warm saltwater places, coconuts, and fish that pull hard. What more could a guy ask for?

    Where's that atoll? Tony
