I got out this morning thinking I'd beat the storm for tomorrow. Surprised there were quite a few boats out with stripping baskets in them. Some of them mine.

I drifted by Raith Heryford as he was hooked up and gave me a shout saying this beats minnows anytime. Raith is one of the best known guides up in this area, and I showed him how to cast a fly rod a couple of years ago. He's not just a "fly guide" but does know how to find fish.

Dropping farther down river there's another fly guy with one of my baskets, then a couple more scattered around.

Geez the wind was blowing today making it hard to cast and control the boat at the same time. Still ended up being a good morning's fishing and even brought a couple home for the table.
