    Default Pyramid Report 4/15/2019

Hope you all filed your tax returns, or went on an extension today !!!!

I had a "free day" today to fish so I made the trek to Pyramid.

Arrived @ Indian Head (one to the north) and was in the water @ 10:15.
I scanned Wino and there were no cars that I could see.
Further down at Blockhouse appeared to be empty too.

I shared the beach with 5 other fishermen till around noon when one of their pals showed up and was rather adamant that they move up to Pelican.
Apparently the fishing was pretty good there, at least on Saturday and Sunday.
The three of them left for, I assume Pelican.

I fished till 1:00 and after getting ZERO strikes decided to join in on the Pelican fun too !!!!!!

The wind was building and blowing from the west pretty hard, so I decided to fish the rocks to the south of the beach.
The crowd(s) weren't too bad either.
I don't know if it was because of poor fishing, or it being Monday, or the wind, but it wasn't the elbow to elbow combat fishing I had anticipated.

I landed my first fish about an hour after I found myself a rock perch to fish from.
And yep..................there are a ton of zombies swimming around now.
To me, zombies = "stick a fork in it till October".

Watching as many fishermen/fisherwomen as I could from 1:30ish till dark, the "average" appeared to be three fish per angler plus or minus one.
    That's the slot I fit into today. I went 2 for 3.
No love for anything but midges either.

Gotta' go get some sleep now, I'm a tired old dog ...........................

Looks like you're going to have some pretty nice weather !!!!!
Hope it doesn't turn the fish off for you.

By all means post how you did for us all please !!!!

Personally, I've decided to "stick a fork in it" @ Pyramid till October.
Yep, I'm done till the October opener.
It was a good ride for me this year !!!!!
Seven good months of Pyramid fishing !!!!!!!
I had a ball posting my "Pyramid Reports" too !!!!!!

Now, I'm having wwwaaaaayyyyy too much fun chasing local fish with my newly built micro-spey trout rod.
    Indicators and midges........on a smaller scale.........just like Pyramid !!!

Bob - don’t stick a fork in making reports. I would love to see some “local waters” or “micro Spey rod” reports.

Thanks again Bob for your honest and accurate reports. Your sharing the info has I'm sure helped a lot of nubbies. I tried last week and although I wasn't up to catching as many around me I was happy with my trip. There was one guy who did catch every fish almost 15 by the tail or belly He was catching some 19 plus pounders too. One guy caught a 19 ponder next to me. Me maybe a 5 pounder I do have some photos to share.

    Good Job Qp !!!!!

You got into some fish.... and some big ones too!!! That's great !!!!!

Yeah, foul hooking (I assume "zombies") just isn't right .........that's why I'm done till the opener.

When you get a chance, post your photos please.
We all would like to enjoy them.

Congratulations on a successful "Pyramid Trip" and THANK YOU for your report !!!!!
