    back to almost fishable. i guess with the hatchery being shut off and flows dropping quick the past few days, any fish remaining might very well be in "see you next season" mode.

    Those flows are very fishable! Really anything less than about 8k-9k offers some fishy spots if you look around a bit. A boat helps, but even without I’d give it a shot if I had the chance. One thing is for sure: can’t catch them at home waiting for “optimal” conditions.

    High water might have brought in some fresh fish?

    Kind of the end of the winter run big Eel River fish.

    Should be some nice Blue Backs / wild Spring run adults now.

    We should be getting in Spring Half-pounders too.

    My brother and I tangled into some of those wild spring adults years ago, what a sight to see! Big bright fish, so bright they were almost white looking. Those blue backs are my all time favorite steelhead on the American, unless I can hook into one of those rare springers.
