    Thanks for posting that Bill. Very well written account. I never met John Squires in person but through this board we had a connection. I always admired John Squires for his adventurous life style.

    Thanks Bill. That was a really sad story. I’m glad the author didn’t sensationalize the story too much, as they so often do. While it is sad that their great adventure was preempted by tradgedy, at least he did get to spend his final hours on earth among close friends in the wilderness he loved. I wish his friends and family all the strength in their grief, he seemed like a really good man.

    Thank you for posting that Bill. John was a wonderful person who loved to share the wonder of the wilderness with others. He will be missed.
