Default Pyramid Lake, Nevada - largest "Pilot Peaks" Cutthroat to date?

Info from Nevada biologist to Gordon Langebeck:

    "Hey Gordon,
The largest to date is actually 26.1 pounds, and we have tag returns that are putting the fish at 12 years old.
    Thanks,
    Tim"

Not sure what the question was, but if Pilots are just the same as the original strain as asserted, than the largest is the lake record set in 1925 of 41 pounds. Supposedly there were fish caught way back when in the 60# range but never recorded. We've a ways to go methinks.

Well I’d say less than 5% of the shoreline is actually fished. I’m sure there’s one over 30lbs cruising around.

    I agree......maybe there will be a 30, 40, 50 or even 60 pounder some day.
