    Just talked to Andy....

He said they are catching lots of Steelhead from Sailor Bar down to Sunrise.

We are having a real good run right now.

He is talking about people who know how to fish or ones with guides.

When the California Department of Water Resources is going to raise the river I usually get an email.

Yeah the river looks like poo by H street. Hopefully it drops out down low soon. I don’t fancy the circus of the top section even though it holds fish better.

Supposed to be at 5250cfs by tomorrow. The water clarity was still great today after they bumped to 4000cfs, hopefully it stays that way with this next bump.

I’ve always liked it at 5k, and it does seem to put enough water over at least some of the reds that it gives the fish some protection.

CMC- what a great location! I got hooked on fly fishing on a trip to RMNP as a kid, my parents honeymooned in Estes Park, and I scattered their ashes where Trail Ridge Road crosses the Continental Divide. Absolutely magical part of the world.
