About 6+" in town.

The flow in town is a lowish at 116cfs but nice.....353cfs even below Boca....better yet.
I've been having fun hunting fish on dries between storms.
Midges and BWOs are the staple food.
Small worms are a good teaser....a cray may surprise them....

Don't forget to bring warm stuff (two socks), and studs and staff. (And a change of clothes because it is slippery..)
The bugs have diminished somewhat.....BWOs and Midges....KISS method....
4-5 stages to cover.....nymphing, emergers, adult, and spent will about cover it.
A new menu offering is the large winter Caddis.........a couple more weeks, and we will have Little Winter stones...
Flows are low and beautiful, watch for risers. Found a Brown in about 8" of water right next to shore.....don't just cast to the far side.....
Light tippet and sneak are Key to success. Some of the fish know we are after them....false casting and splashes will create a ghost town effect......
Cloudy days are best......if sunny, prowl about as shade comes onto the water later in the day.

Parking on the street is seasonally closed, there are fewer places to park off road.....don't get stuck!!!!
I recommend bringing every thing for a couple days even if you only come for one day. When a storm comes, the pass closes and craziness ensues....a single accident can lead to camping where you are....all night even. Bring water, food, and warm stuff, a shovel and a tow rope if you are the bold type..
Locals know the saying "warm before the storm." It was very warm last night, so this coming blast will be good.
