As CA striper guys, I think we can all do our east coast brethren a solid by helping to stop this deregulation from going through. Here is a short article about it:

    https://flylordsmag.com/2018/10/18/n...s-regulations/

Essentially, NOAA is trying to allow commercial fishing to open up for breeding stripers in federal waters.

The article has a link to a regulations comment section where we can voice our opinion against this type of deregulation.

Why would they do that on the East Coast where the Striped Bass are a native fish?

In California the commercial salmon people and corrupt water people want to eliminate the free ranging Striped Bass.

That is why we have opened up spear fishing in the rivers for Striped Bass.

Kind of the same mentality as what I see up here in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. They spend millions to restore the population of grizzlies and wolves then decide to allow a few individuals/organizations to make a profit killing those animals. BEHOLD THE POWER OF STUPIDITY!!! At least it does create jobs..
