Went out first light Saturday with my brother out of Vierras.
Ran north early and the only thing we had to show for it was a couple 6" fish. Wind was pushing pretty hard out there as well.
Decided to run south east and fished hard covering 4-5 spots for nothing.
The tide had just switched to incoming and we decided to fish one more spot that we like on an incoming. We found a decent concentration of fish with one up to 10lbs. We hooked a fish on 7 out of 9 passes.
Water temps were in the 67 range and these fish were HOT!!!
They were holding in 4-10 feet of water of the end of a tule island with some pockets and the tide pushing into it.
Didn't seem like there were too many fish hanging around and when we did find them they were limited to one area. Got to cover your water to get rewarded.
Hope they start to thicken up here soon.
