    Default WTB Scott F series 825-4

    Looking for a Scott 825-4 (8’2” 5wt) F series glass rod. Ideally in as new condition. If you have one to sell please contact me by PM.

    Not to be nosy but are you switching to glass for your daily driver?

    Back in the 1970s we sold and used lots of Fenwick fiberglass fly rods.

    The Winston and Scott fiberglass were sexier though.


    One big reason Fenwick was so popular was the fact that retailers always had a discount battle going on and the Fenwicks were at

    50% off all the time.


    Back then Fisher rod company made the blanks for Winston and Scott.

    All these rods feel so sweet today especially for dry fly fishing on streams.


    You need an old Hardy, SA, Pflueger or Orvis fly reel to make it feel complete.

    Nah just looking to upgrade my primary dry fly rod. And honestly the glass is also just a bit of a novelty item.

    Wish I still had mine. Great rod but picky about line. Sharkskin Trout worked best for me.
