Klamath Report

Having a great time, lots of half pounders. Haven't seen any adult fish yet. Fished at Big Bar and Humboldt Riffle this morning then hopped over to the Trinity to fish the Hoopa area. Yesterday, took a jet boat ride up the Klamath then up the lower end of the Trinity. Found a bunch of half pounders in there, plus there was no wind. Locals say that there is a big wad of fish coming up from Johnsons. Haven't seen them yet.

This looks like a great year on the Klamath and Rogue River for Half-pounders.

Excellent, Jeff, thanks for the report. I just fished the Klamath for a day and a half- wonderful times with two good friends. I hooked half pounders ,no adults, but my friends each hooked a fat beautiful adult. We were swinging mudlers, hiltons, soft hackles and other small hair wing classics.

Got a 26" steelhead today on the Trinity near Big Bar. Killed my muddler, lol!

Are there any reliable shuttle services up in the Orleans area? I've got a family free weekend coming up and thinking about towing the boat up. Getting the itch..... I need me some mountain air and moving water with a possibility of some silver bullets.....
