The Abel Big Game reels are in the same class with a particle cork disc drag and extremely dependable.

Many still like the old style particle cork disc drag reels because they can be repaired in the field unlike these new sealed drag reels.

Exactly Bill,I’ve recently seen too many examples of top end reels with other than composite cork drags fail.Give me Tibor or Abel when you are hunting the big boys...

I am with you, I love "CORK" I just bought 5 brand new Tibor signature reels....The best reel ever made for my use which is fishing in Mexico for big mean fish. The signature fills the bill, the older Tibors left a lot to be desired.....my 2 cents
