    Default Delta Bass Reports?

Next weekend is my last before starting school. I haven't been able to get down to the delta this summer and it's killing me. Does anyone have any info on the Bass (Largemouth, Smallmouth, Striper) fishing down there? Thinking of hitting the Walnut Grove/Wimpy's area. Thanks for the help!

I know there has been good reports of Stripers throughout.

Unfortunately I have not been out to that area lately but I do know if can hold some good fish.

Major snaggy area though need to be very careful with a boat as there are a lot of downed trees and sunk boats that can cause major damage.

Wish I had more info for you.

    Good luck

Thanks for the info Tuna. I used to go down there a lot until about 2 years ago. Are there more trees/boats in the water since then? I remember where a few of the major snags were but I'll still need to be safe. I usually fish Snodgrass and up by the meadows.

I'm sure there are a few more here and there.

If your comfortable in that area then you should be fine.

    Hope you do well.

A friend went out a week ago with Mike Costello, covered many miles and did well on Stripers to 15#.

Another friend went out with Maury hatch in the North Delta in the cool waters of the Sacramento River and did well on smallmouth.

I would guess that AM and PM would be good for LMB. I guess the tide has something to do with scucess.

Delta (Valley) weather the next few weeks looks really nice with daily highs in the 80s.
