Smallie Trip....
OK,.... Late report. My fishing partner and I went out with Captain Maury Hatch (First Hatch Guide Service) to fish for Smallmouth in the north Delta on Thursday. It was sunny and a bit breezy but not bad. We hit the tide at it's peak and fished it almost to the bottom or change for some really good fish. Among many smaller fish, my partner landed two around 3 pounds on topwater (there's a couple of photo's of those fish on Maury's Facebook page). She not only caught bigger fish but the greatest number as well. The burritos really hit the spot, the company/conversation was great (as usual). Damn!!! I love Smallmouth fishing and catching on top. If you haven't made it out yet, you should before it starts to slow down.
