John Squires Missing

I know there are folks here who know John Squires. I just read an article in the Anchorage Daily News that he is missing and presumed dead. He was on a float trip on American Creek with 2 others when their raft capsized. The other 2 survived. I cannot link the article on my iPad but you can google it. Sad news.

Many of us on the Kiene forum have been aware of the story for several months. He had quite a following on the
Kiene forum. We miss him and his posts. Have never seen a follow up story about recovery or such.

May he rest in peace! Sad day when a fellow fisherman passes! Hoping to hear that he is found though.

This past winter I was up on the Mattole river and there was a scouting group searching for a lady in her 40's that went down. Kinda put a eerie feeling in the air.
