Default Go to Tomales Bay now for Stripers, Halibut and King Salmon.

I was just over at Lawson's Landing and tons of anchovies, birds and fish are inside and outside the bay.

King Salmon fishing is really good outside and in the mouth of Tomales Bay.

People were catching halibut every day inside the bay and along the beaches.

Stripers are inside Tomales now and on the beaches too.

Some of the best fishing due to lower winds is August/September.

Weekends are fairly crowded but weekdays have less campers and less anglers.

I know that if two good Striper fly fishers with a boat went over there now they would catch something inside the Tomales Bay.

Humboldt surf perch fishing has been lights out the last week with the ocean conditions perfect and the weather in the mid 60's
Fishing is always good, the catching may not be.

Was communicating with a guy in Santa Cruz who fly fishes most mornings for surf perch and Stripers.

It has been very good for him but he is very experienced.

Locals at Lawson's Landing like Aug/Sept for the best weather and coastal fishing.

    Bill,
it was nice to meet you out at Lawson's over the weekend! We will have to do it again sometime when you're in the neighborhood! My shoulder is pretty beat up today, I counted 14 hours of surf casting the full sink line in two days.
Just getting ready for striper season on the bay though!
