Truckee is fishing well in the mornings and evenings. Take the afternoon off and give them a break. Give yourself a break as well. It's hot! Pretty smokey up in the Tahoe basin with the Yosemite fire. I took a temp at 6:20am and water was right at 60 degrees in canyon below Floriston. At noon when I got off it was 66. I won't fish when they get 68 or higher.

To me it's all tight lining in the pocket water during the summer.

Look for fast oxygenated water with bubbles. Lots of good small-medium wild fish . I've been using 4x so I can have a little backbone to pull fish out.
