Salmon come in all summer into the Lower American River.

Some use to catch them were the water flows in on the north side of Nimbus dam on convention gear at dark thirty in the summer.

Oct/Nov is usually the best time to catch them on the Lower American River.

Andy Guibord at Kiene's is an expert at catching them on a fly.

The best place in the Valley to catch salmon is the Lower Feather River in Sept/Oct?

If you can intercept salmon down low in a drainage early in the run they can be fresher.

The lower Chetco River (Oct/Nov) and Lower Rogue River (Aug/Sep) in Southern Oregon might be some of the best places left to

catch fresh run coastal King salmon.

We use to catch King salmon in the Lower Eel and the Lower Smith river.

After you catch them on the coast right out of the salt water you get spoiled.
