There was a very good report on the Bob Simms Show on KFBK 1530 AM radio this morning

Bob called the fly shop in Chester for a report fro the Almanor Fly Fishing Company

http://www.almanorflyfishing.com/

They said the hatch start a few days ago.

They recommended going out about 6:00 pm starting with a fast sinking full line and a Hex nymph get deep.

Then later go to a slower sinking line and a nymph.

Near sunset go to a floating line and nymph and later to a cripple / dry.

They said lots of smaller fish near the dam but large fish as you head up the West shore.

Lincoln ans Lance Gray are up there now for about a month guiding on the Hex.
