Default Smallmouth Bass on the Russian River

Here is an email I got from Guide Rob Russell:

    Hi Bill,

Russian River smallmouth are active in the morning and evenings. They can be taken with most methods, however topwater is probably the most exciting. Poppers and sliders of different sizes will work. Clousers, leeches, and streamers will also work, however presentations are best kept up off the bottom, in order to keep them free of algae and moss. I prefer fishing a popper with a bugger or leech trailer.

Lots of access on the Lower Russian, along with plenty of structure to fish for Smallmouth bass. Contact Kings Sporting Goods in Guerneville for information, gear, or rentals. 707-869-2156
