Sorry for the delayed report about Bass-N-Fly.

Here's the skinny:

Over 30 boats registered and 19 sponsors participated in making the 8th Costa Bass-N-Fly Delta Challenge another stellar event run out of Sugar Barge RV Resort & Marina on May 23rd and 24th, 2018.

After a hard fought battle with two windy days, the weights were all added up and we crowned the winners.

Twenty -seven teams weighed in fish for a 2-day total of 196 bass or 347 lbs. The big fish award went to David Merin who caught a 7.12 lb bass that helped Team Merin/Merin top the leader board after Day 1.

In the end, Team Sherman/Rudgers made up over 5 lbs by the end of Day 2 to take the Costa Bass-N-Fly Championship for the 2nd year in a row.

Team Merin/Merin took 2nd place and Team Hooper/Robinson took third. Awards were also presented to 4th place Team Iaccarino/Iaccarino, 5th place Team Sanchez/Borges and 6th place Team Sergent/Cady.

15-yo Raymond Galvan took the award for youngest contestant. Mike Patten toughed out the conditions solo in his River Dory and Team Sergent/Cady travelled from San Diego to join us.
