    Default Shadding with Andy Guibord

Had a great time Shadding with Andy on the Lower American yesterday. We took out my wooden drift boat for a learn to row / catch Shad outing. Love the passion he has for fishing, and what a great fishing/rowing guide. As far as numbers go, I know that's important to many, we must have had 30+ to the boat and at least that many come off. Don't have photos of the biggies as I was too busy casting/catching. Also, got one Striper.

Looking forward to our next trip out. A few pics are below.

Thanks guys, she really was a labor of love.

Jeff, I remember you - 50+ fish when we passed you. Andy said you were the Shad-I-master

Paul, what a treat to fish with you and your gorgeous boat. You could have submitted that drift boat as your master project and earned a MFA from the institute of the Museum of Contemporary Art. We had a fantastic day. Thanks for the treat*✈️

Over the years we have seen some wonderful "home made" wooden drift boats.

One of the coolest thing s I saw though was Leonard Lehr's wooden Jet boat.

I got to fish from it up near Red Bluff one year.

People at the launch ramp went wild.
