Default Fall River : is rowing feasible

Could I manage for a day or part of day just with pram and oars?

Heading that way and didn’t manage to get minn kota battery sorted.

I’d be ok being limited to water near cal access just not sure if it’s a crazy idea or if I could make it work ?

    Thanks
    Steve

I am with Bill, row up stream until tired then anchor up, fish, row up stream some more, anchor up, fish, etc... you might even troll a streamer behind the boat, you never know.

or you could buy a battery at Walmart on the way up there and charge it at the hotel the night before.

    Steve,
I have been canoeing the Fall for the past ten years and I find that the part where I am just paddling up river, no lines in the water, not even thinking about fishing, are some of the best times I have had. Most of the time it is quiet and, since I often get to fish on weekdays, there have been a few times when it was just me, the muskrats, birds, deer and trout. (Sometime later I will tell you the story of the idiot with the over powered boat that almost ran me over after dark as I was headed downstream....Still thankful I always carry a light with me. But that was an anomaly)

I have been known to paddle as far as one can go then take all day to drift back, anchor, fish, drift, anchor, fish....

There have been a few sideways glances from some of the other folks and more than one comment about my "determination" (I think that are really saying, "You're crazy!") but I think going motor-less is a great way to be on The Fall.

I have also done it with my pram and electric as well as once with a rental so I do get the convenience of that but if I wanted conveniences I would stay home.

    Enjoy.

    Thanks all
    Appreciate the responses.
I only had 1 full day fishing so decided to forego fall and focus on hat creek. Fun fishing .
First time there spent looking for heads. Had a great time.
Going get myself organized for next trip on fall with electric battery.
    Tight lines all.
