Road to Bowman lake open?

Hi All,

Thinking of hitting a lake or two in the Bowman lakes area.

Does anybody know if the road is clear to Bowman lake now?

The snow websites I've looked at don't show much at all, but just
want to make sure.

there is a USFS gate at Fuller Lake, if I remember correctly. So if that gate hasn't been opened for the season, it doesn't matter. I believe they opened it on May 1, but it might be May 15th...ranger station in NC or Truckee could probably tell you for sure. There won't be much snow until you get up past Bowman Lake, the majority of the snow now seems to be above 6500'.

Fuller lake boat ramps are open and lake was fishing well last time I was there. The road to Bowman is closed due to a big washout. Not sure where that is, but it is beyond Rucker Lake turn-off.
