Danger Zone on Yuba

For those of you who are wondering about where this currant hazard maybe, here's a Google Map picture of the immediate area where recent bad things have happened. Unfortunately, this is NOT an accurate currant map from Google and there are new channels everywhere passing through the same area near the motorcycle track.

The rivers around here seem to change over-night with moving sand and gravel, new snags, trees and dead-falls. It's amazing how much bottom change occurs with the change in water flows from winter storms, snow melt, or dam releases.

I'm on the water a lot but my boat has a prop which forces me to be extra careful and cautious wherever I go. The guys with jet boats can get by in a little shallower water but they're not impervious to newly exposed snags of pipe, concrete, and re-bar.
