    Default Bass Ponds

I did some hiking and fishing yesterday. The grass is green and lush but there are not many flowers to be seen. Ponds are low and the fish are happy and well fed but come labor day I expect they will be laying in the mud or just barely hanging on. Another five inches of rain would have been nice. Feast or famine around here the last 10 years.

This pond looks low. Tule growth has just started.

Lush grass and beautiful oak trees.

Found this broken arrowhead. Someone did trail grading and exposed it. I don't find these very often.

Pretty nice bass. I like the bronze with the well defined striping.

You have to have your trail buddy with you. Thistles are not too bad in the spring and there are lots of ground squirrels to chase.

Beautiful pictures John. That is a good looking/happy dog! I miss having mine out with me! She is too old to accompany me any longer.

    John,
As always, great picture story. That dog must have gone to modeling school!

    GREAT pics John!
Nice smallie and grand pooch. Sometimes it's hard to decide what is more entertaining, the antics of the pooch or the antics of the fish.
