Bill,
Those Dr Slick pliers are the real deal. I especially like the rubber coated handles when in the hot sun and your hands are sweaty. I don't have a clue where they were made, but who ever designed them gets a pat on the back from me, and as far as the price it's the best deal since the wheel...O yea they come with extra blades and jaws. I have one year on mine and they are still like new.
I don't have any other Dr Slick products, however after owning these I am going to look into them.

Finally a set of quality pliers that aren't 300 bucks!
Funny you're a fan of these, Carl. You seem more like a Hatch Nomad kind of guy...
Sheep,
I have had several pairs of Abel pliers and have had them stolen -misplaced and even fallen over board...I can't tell the difference between these and the Abel's when they are in my hand and their performance is equal, However my pocket book can tell. all kidding aside I love these pliers and if then get dull and they will, I won't have to send them in, I already have new blades and jaws. If these pliers were lets say $100-150 they would still be a bargain for a guy like me at least that's always buying a new pair every few years....that's my 2 cents
